DRUG CLASS: Combination cold and flu medicine

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS (per 5 mL):

• Paracetamol 500 mg – pain reliever and fever reducer

• Diphenhydramine hydrochloride 12.5 mg – antihistamine for runny nose and sneezing

• Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 30 mg – decongestant to relieve blocked nose

DESCRIPTION:
Benylin 4Flu Syrup is a multi-symptom cold and flu treatment that provides relief from fever, headache, nasal congestion, body aches, sneezing, and a runny nose. It is suitable for short-term use during colds and flu-like illnesses.

USES (INDICATIONS):

• Fever and chills

• Headache and body aches

• Nasal congestion

• Sneezing and runny nose

• Sore throat pain associated with colds

HOW IT WORKS:

• Paracetamol reduces pain and lowers fever

• Diphenhydramine blocks histamine to reduce sneezing and a runny nose

• Pseudoephedrine shrinks swollen nasal passages for easier breathing

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

• Adults and children over 12 years: 10 mL every 4 to 6 hours as needed

• Do not exceed 4 doses (40 mL) in 24 hours

• Not recommended for children under 12 years

• Shake well before use

• Measure with a proper dosing cup or spoon

SIDE EFFECTS:
Common side effects:

• Drowsiness or dizziness

• Dry mouth

• Nausea

• Headache

Serious side effects (rare):

• Allergic reactions (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty)

• Increased heart rate

• Insomnia or restlessness

PRECAUTIONS:

• Do not combine with other products containing paracetamol

• Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine

• Caution in people with high blood pressure, diabetes, glaucoma, or heart disease

• Consult your doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding

• May cause drowsiness – do not drive or operate machinery

STORAGE:

• Store below 25 degrees Celsius

• Keep tightly closed and protected from light

• Keep out of reach of children
