ACTIVE INGREDIENTS (per 5 mL):

• Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 7 mg – an antihistamine that suppresses dry, tickly coughs by calming the cough reflex

• Levomenthol 0.55 mg – helps to soothe the throat and relieve irritation

INDICATIONS (USES):

• Relief of dry, irritating, or tickly coughs in children

• Reduces coughing caused by throat irritation or allergies

HOW IT WORKS:
Diphenhydramine reduces coughing by blocking histamine receptors and calming the central cough reflex. Levomenthol gives a cooling effect that soothes the throat and improves breathing comfort.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

• Children 6 to 12 years: 10 mL (2 teaspoons) 3 to 4 times a day

• Maximum daily dose: 40 mL in 24 hours

• Use a proper measuring spoon or cup for accuracy

• Do not exceed the recommended dose

• Do not give to children under 6 years

SIDE EFFECTS:
Common:

• Drowsiness or sleepiness

• Dry mouth

• Mild dizziness or upset stomach

Rare but serious:

• Allergic skin reactions

• Excitability or restlessness in some children

PRECAUTIONS:

• This medicine may cause drowsiness; avoid giving with other sedatives

• Not to be used with other cough and cold medicines

• Contains a small amount of alcohol (ethanol) and sorbitol – use caution in diabetic children

• Do not use for more than 5 days unless advised by a doctor

• Avoid if the child is taking MAO inhibitors or has asthma without medical supervision

STORAGE:

• Store below 30 degrees Celsius

• Keep the bottle tightly closed

• Discard 4 months after opening

• Keep out of reach of children
