Uses:

• Treatment of scabies (a contagious skin infestation caused by mites)

• Treatment of lice infestations (pediculosis)

• Sometimes used for other skin parasites under medical advice

Mechanism of Action:

Benzyl benzoate works by killing mites and lice through direct contact. It acts as a toxic agent to parasites, disrupting their nervous system and leading to their death.

How to Use:

• Apply the lotion or cream evenly to the entire body from the neck down (for scabies), avoiding eyes and mouth

• Leave on for 24 hours or as directed, then wash off thoroughly

• Repeat treatment after 7 days if necessary

• For lice, apply to the scalp and hair as instructed

Side Effects:

• Skin irritation such as redness, itching, or burning sensation

• Allergic reactions (rare)

• Avoid contact with broken or inflamed skin to reduce irritation

Precautions:

• For external use only

• Avoid use on infants under 2 years without medical advice

• Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women unless prescribed

• Keep away from eyes, mucous membranes, and sensitive areas

• Use cautiously on sensitive skin
