What is Calpol 2+?

Calpol 2+ is a gentle, over-the-counter pain reliever and fever reducer designed specifically for children aged 2 years and older. It helps ease symptoms such as fever, headaches, toothaches, and minor aches and pains caused by colds or flu.

Active Ingredient

• Paracetamol (also known as acetaminophen): This works by reducing fever and relieving pain. It’s safe and effective when used as directed.

How to Use

• For children aged 2 to 6 years, the usual dose is 5 ml of Calpol 2+ syrup every 4 to 6 hours as needed.

• Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.

• Shake the bottle well before use.

• Use the measuring spoon or syringe provided to ensure accurate dosing.

• Can be given with or without food.

Precautions

• Do not use if your child is allergic to paracetamol or any other ingredients.

• Avoid giving other paracetamol-containing medicines at the same time to prevent overdose.

• If symptoms last more than 3 days or worsen, consult a doctor.

• If your child has liver problems or other medical conditions, check with a healthcare provider before use.

Possible Side Effects

• Calpol 2+ is generally very safe when used correctly.

• Rarely, some children may experience allergic reactions such as rash or swelling.
