Cotton Buds

A cotton bud, also known as a cotton swab, is a small stick with soft cotton wrapped around both ends. It is a commonly used personal care item.

Uses:

• Ear Cleaning (not recommended deep in the canal)

• Applying or removing makeup

• Cleaning wounds or applying ointments

• Electronics or delicate object cleaning

• Arts and crafts or nail polish correction

Structure:

• Shaft Material: Made of plastic, paper, or wood.

• Tip Material: Made of absorbent cotton rolled tightly.

Caution:

• Inserting cotton buds deep into the ear canal can cause injury, wax impaction, or infection.

• Safer alternatives for ear hygiene include using a damp cloth around the outer ear.
