Use: Relief of heartburn, acid reflux, indigestion, gas, and bloating

Composition (Typical Ingredients)

• Aluminium hydroxide – neutralizes stomach acid

• Magnesium hydroxide – neutralizes acid and balances bowel movement

• Simethicone – reduces gas and relieves bloating
  (Some formulations may also include sodium bicarbonate or magnesium trisilicate)

How It Works

• The antacid components reduce excessive acid in the stomach, easing pain and burning.

• Simethicone breaks up gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines, helping to relieve pressure, bloating, and burping.

Indications

Used for short-term relief of:

• Hyperacidity

• Heartburn

• Flatulence

• Gastric discomfort

• Sour stomach

• Belching and bloating

Dosage & Administration

• Adults: 5–10 ml (1–2 teaspoons) after meals and before bedtime, or as advised by a healthcare provider

• Shake well before use

• Do not exceed the prescribed dose

Side Effects

Common:

• Constipation (from aluminium)

• Diarrhea (from magnesium)

• Nausea or chalky taste

• Mild abdominal cramps

Rare/Long-term:

• Electrolyte imbalance

• Low phosphate levels

• Kidney load in patients with renal impairment

Precautions

• Avoid prolonged use without medical advice

• Not suitable for patients with severe kidney disease

• Use with caution during pregnancy or breastfeeding

• May affect absorption of some medications like antibiotics and iron — space them by at least 2 hours
