Uses / Indications:

Ketazol Cream is used to treat fungal and yeast skin infections such as:

• Tinea infections (athlete’s foot, jock itch, ringworm)

• Seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff, inflamed scaly skin)

• Cutaneous candidiasis (yeast infections)

• Pityriasis versicolor (discolored skin patches caused by yeast)

How It Works:

Ketoconazole interferes with the synthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes. This damages the membrane, causing the fungi to die.

How to Use:

1. Clean and dry the affected area.

2. Apply a thin layer of the cream once or twice daily.

3. Rub in gently and wash hands after application (unless treating hands).

4. Use for 2–4 weeks or as directed by a healthcare provider, even if symptoms improve early.

Who Can Use It:

• Adults and children (check label or seek advice for very young children)

• Not to be used in the eyes, mouth, or on broken skin

Side Effects (Mild and Rare):

• Skin irritation (burning, stinging, redness)

• Allergic reactions (itching, rash)

• Dry or peeling skin in the treated area

Precautions:

• Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, or open wounds

• Complete the full course of treatment
