Active Ingredients per Tablet

• Montelukast 4 mg – helps reduce inflammation in the airways

• Levocetirizine 2.5 mg – a non-sedating antihistamine that controls allergic symptoms

Uses (Indications)

L Montus Kid Tablet is used to treat and manage:

• Allergic rhinitis – sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, itchy eyes

• Asthma – prevents wheezing, difficulty in breathing (not for sudden attacks)

• Chronic urticaria – long-term hives and skin itching

It is especially useful in children with combined allergy and asthma symptoms.

Dosage & Administration

• Recommended Age: For children typically between 2 to 12 years

• Dosage:

  • 1 tablet once daily, usually given in the evening

  • Can be taken with or without food

• Administration Tips:

  • Ensure the child swallows whole unless it’s a chewable or dispersible form

  • Follow the doctor’s instructions strictly; do not increase or skip doses

Precautions

• Not to be used for emergency asthma attacks

• Caution in children with:

  • Kidney disease

  • Liver problems

  • History of behavioral issues or seizures

Possible Side Effects

Common:

• Headache

• Drowsiness or mild fatigue

• Abdominal pain or nausea

• Dry mouth

• Cough or sore throat

Less common but serious:

• Changes in mood or behavior (irritability, restlessness, nightmares, aggression)
