Active Ingredients (per tablet)

1. Montelukast Sodium 10 mg

   • A leukotriene receptor antagonist

   • Reduces inflammation and narrowing in the airways

2. Levocetirizine Hydrochloride 5 mg

   • A second-generation antihistamine

   • Blocks histamine to relieve allergy symptoms

Uses / Indications

L Montus Adult is commonly prescribed for:

• Allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny/stuffy nose, itchy/watery eyes)

• Seasonal allergies

• Perennial allergies

• Bronchial asthma (to prevent attacks, not for acute treatment)

• Urticaria (itching, hives)

Dosage & Administration

• Adults and adolescents (12 years and above):

  • One tablet once daily, preferably in the evening

  • Can be taken with or without food

  • Swallow whole with water

Precautions & Warnings

• Not a replacement for rescue inhalers in acute asthma attacks

• Use cautiously in patients with liver or kidney impairment

• May cause drowsiness or dizziness—avoid driving or operating machinery if affected

• Alcohol may intensify sedation; avoid during treatment

• Should be discontinued 72 hours before allergy skin tests

• Consult doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding

Common Side Effects

• Drowsiness, headache, dry mouth

• Fatigue, nausea, abdominal discomfort

• Skin rash, diarrhea, or elevated liver enzymes in some patients

• Rare but serious: behavioral changes, hallucinations, depression (monitor mental health closely)

Do Not Use If:

• Allergic to montelukast or levocetirizine

• You have severe kidney disease or epileptic history (without medical supervision)

• Taking other sedating antihistamines unless approved by a doctor
