Piriton Original Tablet 4mg

Piriton contains Chlorphenamine Maleate 4mg, an antihistamine used to treat allergies such as hay fever, skin rashes, insect bites, food reactions, and itching.

Uses:

• Relieves sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, hives, and general allergic reactions

• Also helps with itching from chickenpox or insect stings

Dosage:

• Adults & children over 12 years: 1 tablet every 4–6 hours, max 6 tablets (24mg) per day

• Children 6–12 years: ½ tablet every 4–6 hours, max 3 tablets per day

• Not recommended for children under 6

Side Effects:

• Drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, blurred vision, upset stomach

• May impair ability to drive or use machines

• Increased caution in elderly, those with liver or kidney disease, or glaucoma

Precautions:

• Avoid alcohol or sedatives while taking

• Do not use with MAO inhibitors or if allergic to chlorphenamine

• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding
