 Typical Composition (per tablet*)

 Indications / Uses

• Fever, headache, body aches associated with colds or influenza

• Nasal stuffiness & sinus pressure

• Runny nose, itchy/watery eyes, sneezing

 Adult & Adolescent Dosage (≥12 yrs)

• 1 tablet every 6 hours, as needed

• Maximum: 4 tablets in 24 hours

• Swallow whole with water; take with food if stomach upset occurs

(Not recommended for children under 12 years; use paediatric syrup or consult a physician.)

 Common Side‑Effects

• Drowsiness or, conversely, nervousness/insomnia (pseudoephedrine + caffeine)

• Dry mouth, blurred vision, mild constipation (antihistamine)

• Elevated heart rate or palpitations in sensitive individuals

• Nausea or epigastric discomfort (paracetamol)

 Precautions & Contra‑Indications

• Do NOT exceed stated dose – risk of liver toxicity from paracetamol

• Avoid if you have severe hypertension, coronary artery disease, narrow‑angle glaucoma, urinary retention, or hyperthyroidism

• MAO‑Is: contra‑indicated within 14 days of use

• Limit additional caffeine (coffee, energy drinks) to reduce jitters

• Use cautiously in pregnancy, breast‑feeding, diabetes, or prostatic hypertrophy – consult a health professional

• May impair driving or machinery operation

Drug Interactions

• Other paracetamol‑containing medicines

• Decongestants or stimulants → additive cardiovascular effects

• Sedatives, alcohol, antihistamines → enhanced drowsiness

• Certain antidepressants (SSRIs/SNRIs) may increase serotonin or BP effects

 Storage

• Keep below 30 °C, in a dry place, out of reach of children
