Prescription Status:

Over-the-Counter (OTC) – Available without prescription, but advice recommended for prolonged use or pre-existing conditions.

Indications / Uses:

Provides relief from symptoms associated with:

• Fever

• Headache

• Body aches

• Nasal congestion

• Runny or itchy nose

• Sneezing
  (Ideal for daytime cold and flu management)

Dosage (Adults & Children 12+):

• 1 tablet every 4–6 hours as needed

• Maximum: 4 tablets in 24 hours

• Not recommended for children under 12 without medical advice

Common Side Effects:

• Drowsiness or sedation

• Dry mouth, throat irritation

• Mild dizziness or blurred vision

• Upset stomach or nausea

Precautions & Warnings:

• Do not exceed the recommended dose (risk of liver damage from paracetamol)

• Avoid other paracetamol-containing products

• Not recommended for:

  • Patients with hypertension or cardiovascular issues

  • Those with glaucoma, urinary retention, or prostate hypertrophy (due to antihistamine)

  • People taking MAO inhibitors

  • Those sensitive to caffeine

Drug Interactions:

• Central nervous system depressants (e.g., alcohol, sedatives) may enhance drowsiness

• Stimulants (some decongestants, caffeine) may elevate blood pressure or heart rate

• MAO inhibitors can cause serious reactions (avoid within 2 weeks of use)

Storage:

• Store at room temperature (below 30 °C)

• Protect from light and moisture

• Keep out of reach of children
