Tixylix Cough Mixture

Form: Oral syrup (commonly 100 ml bottle)
Main Ingredient: Glycerol 0.75 ml per 5 ml
Prescription Status: Over-the-counter (OTC)

Uses / Indications

Tixylix Baby Cough Syrup is used to:

• Soothe dry, tickly coughs in babies and toddlers

• Calm throat irritation caused by coughing

• Moisturize the throat lining, easing cough reflex

Age Group

• Suitable for babies aged 3 months to 5 years

• Not recommended for children under 3 months without medical advice

Dosage & Administration

• 3–12 months: 5 ml up to 4 times daily

• 1–5 years: 10 ml up to 4 times daily

• Give at 3–4 hour intervals

• Use a measuring spoon or cup for accuracy

• Do not exceed the stated dose

Precautions

• For short-term use only (no more than 3–5 days without doctor review)

• Contains maltitol – may cause mild diarrhoea if overdosed

• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight

• Shake well before use
