Zincofer Syrup

Zincofer Syrup is a liquid nutritional supplement containing iron, folic acid, zinc, and sometimes vitamin B12. It is used to treat or prevent iron deficiency anemia, especially in children, pregnant women, and individuals with poor dietary intake or chronic illness.

Typical Composition per 5 ml:

• Ferrous fumarate (iron): Helps form healthy red blood cells

• Folic acid: Aids in red blood cell production and fetal development

• Zinc sulfate: Supports immune function and growth

• Vitamin B12 (in some versions): Essential for nerve health and blood formation

Uses:

1. Treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anemia

2. Supports growth and development in children

3. Used in pregnancy to support mother and fetus

4. Helps boost energy levels and immune health

Dosage 

• Children: 5 ml once or twice daily (based on age/doctor’s advice)

• Adults/Pregnant women: 10 ml once or twice daily

• Should be taken after meals to reduce stomach irritation

• Nausea or mild stomach upset

• Constipation or dark stools

• Metallic taste (occasionally)

Precautions:

• Shake well before use

• Do not take with milk or calcium supplements (reduces absorption)
