Ancigel-O Suspension (200 mL)

Composition per 5 mL:

• Aluminium hydroxide 225 mg

• Magnesium hydroxide 225 mg

• Olive oil 50 mg (helps form a protective barrier against acid reflux)

What it Does

Ancigel-O is an over-the-counter antacid and anti-reflux liquid. It neutralizes excess stomach acid, relieves heartburn and indigestion, and helps manage gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The olive oil forms a light barrier to reduce acid reflux into the esophagus.

When to Use

• For heartburn, acid reflux, or sour stomach

• Relief from gas and functional dyspepsia

• Occasional GERD symptoms between doses of other medications

• After meals or at bedtime as needed

How to Take

Adults and children over 12 years: 5 to 10 mL every 4 to 6 hours as needed.
Children under 12 years: Use only on medical advice.
Shake well before use. Avoid taking with antibiotics like tetracyclines, iron, or thyroid medication—allow at least a 2-hour gap.

Do Not Use If

• You are allergic to any of the ingredients

• You have severe kidney disease or bowel obstruction

• You are on a restricted magnesium or aluminium diet

Side Effects

May include constipation (from aluminium), loose stools (from magnesium), mild abdominal discomfort, or allergic rash. Rare but serious symptoms like black stools or persistent pain require medical attention.

Storage

Store at 15 to 30 degrees Celsius, away from sunlight.
Shake well before use and discard 30 days after opening.
