Gastrone Plus Suspension

COMPOSITION (Typical Ingredients)

• Aluminium hydroxide: Neutralizes stomach acid

• Magnesium hydroxide: Neutralizes acid and counteracts constipation caused by aluminium

• Simethicone: Reduces gas by breaking up gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines

USES / INDICATIONS

Gastrone Plus is used to relieve:

• Heartburn

• Acid indigestion

• Sour stomach

• Bloating and gas

• Belching and abdominal pressure

• Symptoms of gastritis, peptic ulcer, and acid reflux

It offers quick relief by neutralizing stomach acid and reducing discomfort from trapped gas.

HOW TO USE

• Dosage: Usually 5–10 ml (1–2 teaspoons) after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a doctor.

• Shake the bottle well before each use to ensure proper mixing.

• Do not take more than the recommended dose.

• If you are using other medications, take Gastrone Plus at least 2 hours apart to avoid interactions.

SIDE EFFECTS

Common side effects:

• Constipation (due to aluminium content)

• Diarrhea (from magnesium)

• Nausea

• Chalky taste in the mouth

• Mild stomach cramps

Less common or long-term effects:

• Electrolyte imbalance (low phosphate levels with long-term use)

• Black or tarry stools

• Muscle weakness or fatigue (in cases of phosphate depletion)

PRECAUTIONS

• Kidney disease: Use cautiously as aluminium and magnesium can accumulate and cause toxicity.

• Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Generally safe for short-term use; consult a healthcare provider.

• Children: Use only under medical supervision.

• Diabetics: Check if it contains sugar or sweeteners.

• Phenylketonuria (PKU): Some formulations may contain aspartame, which should be avoided.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

Gastrone Plus may interfere with the absorption of:

• Iron supplements

• Certain antibiotics (like tetracyclines, ciprofloxacin)

• Thyroid medications

Space other medications at least 2 hours before or after taking Gastrone Plus.

• Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature.
