Uses / Indications:

Ketazol Shampoo is used to treat and prevent scalp conditions caused by fungi or yeast, such as:

• Seborrheic dermatitis (flaky, itchy, red scalp)

• Dandruff (associated with fungal overgrowth)

• Tinea versicolor (a skin condition with discolored patches)

• Scalp ringworm (tinea capitis) – in some cases with doctor’s advice

How It Works:

Ketoconazole blocks the formation of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, leading to fungal cell death. This reduces infection, inflammation, and flaking.

How to Use:

1. Wet hair and scalp thoroughly.

2. Apply enough shampoo to create a lather.

3. Massage into the scalp or affected skin areas.

4. Leave on for 3 to 5 minutes.

5. Rinse thoroughly with water.

6. Use twice weekly for 2–4 weeks (or as directed), then once every 1–2 weeks to prevent recurrence.

• Use in children only under medical advice

Side Effects (Usually Mild):

• Dryness or oiliness of hair or scalp

• Itching, irritation, or stinging

• Rarely, hair texture or color changes (especially with chemically treated hair)
