Active Ingredient

Primary Uses

Virasorb is used for the topical treatment of skin infections caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV), such as:

• Cold sores (herpes labialis)

• Genital herpes (external lesions)

• May be used at the first sign of tingling, itching, or burning to prevent full blister formation

How It Works

• Acyclovir interferes with the replication of the herpes virus, limiting the severity and duration of outbreaks

• Most effective when applied early (during the tingling phase)

How to Use

• Apply a thin layer to the affected area, 5 times a day (about every 4 hours, skipping overnight)

• Wash hands before and after application

• Use for up to 5 days, or as directed by a healthcare provider

• If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a doctor

• For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Precautions

• Do not share the cream to avoid spreading the infection
