Ancigel Tablet – Antacid Chewable Tablets

Composition (per tablet):

• Aluminium Hydroxide Gel (equivalent to Al2O3) – 250 mg

• Magnesium Hydroxide – 250 mg

• Simethicone – 50 mg (optional, depending on formulation)

Product Description

Ancigel Tablets are chewable antacid tablets used to relieve symptoms of excess stomach acid, including heartburn, acid indigestion, sour stomach, and bloating. They work by neutralizing stomach acid and reducing gas formation, providing quick and soothing relief.

Indications

• Heartburn and acid reflux (GERD)

• Indigestion or bloating

• Gastritis and sour stomach

• Relief from discomfort after spicy or acidic meals

Dosage and Administration

Adults and children over 12 years:

• Chew 1 to 2 tablets as needed, preferably after meals and at bedtime
  Maximum: Do not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours unless directed by a doctor
  Children under 12 years: Use only under medical supervision
  Note: Tablets should be chewed thoroughly before swallowing

Contraindications and Precautions

• Do not use in individuals allergic to aluminium, magnesium, or any of the excipients

• Avoid in cases of severe kidney disease

• Take other medications (e.g., antibiotics, iron) at least 2 hours apart to avoid interference with absorption

Possible Side Effects

• Mild: Constipation (from aluminium), loose stools (from magnesium), dry mouth

• Rare: Electrolyte imbalance, allergic rash, or prolonged stomach discomfort

• Long-term high-dose use may affect bone or kidney health

Storage Conditions

• Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place

• Protect from moisture and keep out of reach of children

• Use tablets within the expiry period printed on the label
