Zyfen Tablet 120 mg

Zyfen 120 mg is a non-drowsy antihistamine tablet containing Fexofenadine Hydrochloride 120 mg. It is used to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergies like sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and nasal congestion. It is also useful in managing chronic urticaria (hives).

Uses

• Allergic Rhinitis (e.g., hay fever)

• Sneezing, runny or blocked nose

• Itchy or watery eyes

• Skin itching and hives (urticaria)

How It Works

Fexofenadine is a second-generation antihistamine that works by blocking histamine (H₁ receptors)—a natural chemical in the body that causes allergic symptoms. Unlike first-generation antihistamines, it typically does not cause drowsiness, making it suitable for daytime use.

Dosage

• Adults and children 12 years and older: Take one 120 mg tablet once daily.

• Take with water before food for better absorption.

• Do not chew or crush—swallow whole.

Uncommon/Rare:
