What is Augmentin 1 g?

Augmentin is an antibiotic that contains two active ingredients:

  • Amoxicillin – a penicillin-type antibiotic that kills bacteria.

  • Clavulanic acid – a β-lactamase inhibitor that helps amoxicillin work against bacteria that would otherwise resist it.

The 1 g tablet typically contains:

  • 875 mg of amoxicillin

  • 125 mg of clavulanic acid


Uses

Augmentin 1 g is used to treat bacterial infections such as:

Dosage
