Anusol Ointment – (25g–50g Tubes)

Composition (per 100g):

• Zinc oxide 10.75g

• Bismuth subgallate 2.25g

• Bismuth oxide 0.875g

• Balsam Peru 1.875g

Appearance & Packaging

Anusol Ointment is a light buff-coloured greasy ointment packaged in 25g or 50g aluminium tubes. Each tube is equipped with an applicator nozzle for both internal and external use.

Indications

Relieves symptoms of internal and external hemorrhoids, anal itching, fissures, and inflammation. It soothes, protects, and promotes healing of irritated anal tissue with antiseptic, astringent, and emollient properties.

Dosage & Administration

• Adults and elderly: Apply sparingly to the affected area in the morning, at night, and after each bowel movement (up to 4 times daily).

• Children under 18 years: Not recommended.
  Always clean and dry the area before application. For internal use, insert using the provided nozzle and clean thoroughly after each use.

Contraindications & Precautions

• Avoid if allergic to any of the active ingredients.

• Discontinue use and consult a doctor if rectal bleeding occurs.

• Not advised for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical supervision.

• Limit use to 7 days unless directed by a healthcare professional.

Side Effects

Generally well tolerated. Possible but rare effects include skin irritation, itching, rash, or allergic contact dermatitis, especially in sensitive individuals.

Storage

Store below 25 degrees Celsius. Keep away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
